The 255-W series of packing cases incorporates oil wiper rings in the pressure packing
assembly itself. The design in normally utilized in gas compressors where space is limited.
Large drain holes are added in the wiper area to ensure oil removal from the rod surfce.
Precision machining allows the packing assembly to seal effectively for extended hours at
high discharge pressures.
