The AAVOLYN TY255 Packing case is
designed for all pressure ranges in both
lubricated and non-lubricated service.
The e-suffix indicates an eliptical gland which is normally used in air and low pressure gas
service because you are limited to two studs to secure the case in the compressor.
All AAVOLYN glands are manufactured completely from steel including eliptical and square
shapes in addition to standard round configurations. This additional strength of construction
eliminates the problems of cracked flanges which are common using cast iron castings.
