AAVOLYN designs and manufactures a complete line of packing assemblies for applications
from single stage plant air compressors to high pressure process installations.
Materials are selected for the particular range and type of gas being compressed. Critical
tolerances and finishes are maintained to provide proper interface with the compressor
cylinder and seal the gas at its operating pressure.

All flanges are steel as standard manufacture. Individual cups are ground with a minimum of
20 RMS on all sealing surfaces. Lapped finishes of 10 RMS on all sealing surfaces. Lapped
finishes of 10 RMS or better are provided for low molecular weight gases and pressures over
2500 PSI.

Every TYPE 655 water cooled packing case is pressure tested to ensure there in no leakage
to the coolant system.
