The AAVOLYN 271 series "V" packing has been greatly improved in performance, with the
addition of AVA47 and AVA31 materials to increase ring wear life and minimize friction at the
sealing surfaces. The AAVOLYN family of filled Teflons® will outperform "V" packing seals of
Virgin Teflon because of the their added toughness. They also compare favorably with
standard duck packing products and glass filled Teflon® without the frictional wear to shafts
and cylinder walls.
AAVOLYN engineers have developed AVA47 for use with liquids and in lubricated service.

For applications where solids are causing rapid packing wear, the AVA47, Type 271
"V" packing can provide an excellent solution. Developed for combined toughness and
frictional properties, AVA31 has performed well in clean gas and liquid applications.
