Pressure balancing in both packing and piston rings maximizes ring life. By minimizing the
force on the sealing surface, ring wear is reduced and the forces acting on the seal are
stabilized. The TYPE 480, two piece piston ring provides excellent performance in discharge
pressures over 250 psi.
